Other filters use a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (or MERV) to determine their effectiveness; those with values between seven and 13 are just as likely to be as effective as HEPA filters.
Other medical-related industries can also benefit from the use of such filters. Medical supply companies, for example, also have to be able to keep germs, dust, and dirt away from the sterile medical items they manufacture. This is made possible through industrial filtration, which is fitted to the equipment that both produces and sterilizes these devices.
